Venison sausage appetizer

Ingredients

- ½ pound of venison sausage (pork fat added)

- 1/3 cup mozzarella

- ¼ sour cream

- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise

- ¼ cup of diced red onions

- ¼ cup of diced peppers (green, red or yellow)

- 2 tablespoons of garlic, minced

- ½ teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

- 10 slices of whole wheat bread

- 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper

Cut crusts off the bread and cut bread into 4 triangles. Butter the triangles and toast in the oven until golden brown (set aside). Crumble and cook sausage in saute pan until browned. Transfer drained sausage to a bowl. Add cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, onions, pepper, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Add salt and pepper, mix well. Spoon a tablespoon on top of each triangle. Put triangles on a sheet pan (lined or unlined) and bake in the oven at 400 degrees until the cheese melts (about 8-10 minutes). You may also add more cheese to melt on top as an option.
