Seared Tuna with Soy Wasabi Sauce and Stir-Fry Vegetabels
Soy Wasabi Sauce
1c. Soy Sauce]
1T. Sesame Oil
1t. Wasabi Powder
1T. Chopped Chives
2t. Chopped Garlic
2t. Chopped Ginger
1⁄4 c. Water
Method: Whisk ingredients so that the flavors come together and there
are
no wasabi lumps. Taste mixture. If you think it is too salty add water.
If
you think it is not salty enough add more soy. Season the sauce to your
liking.
Tuna
4ea. 6-8oz. Tuna Steaks
Kosher Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
2T. Oil
Method: Heat large sauté pan over high heat. Season the tuna steaks with
salt and pepper. Once pan is hot add oil. Make sure the oil is
shimmering
before you carefully add the tuna to the pan. Sear each side for 15
seconds for rare tuna. Once all sides have been seared remove tuna from
the pan and allow to rest while you stir fry the vegetables.
Stir-Fry Vegetables
1ea. Zucchini, sliced
1ea. Squash, sliced
1ea. Red Bell Pepper, sluiced
2ea. Heads of Baby Bok-Choy, chopped course
2T. Oil
2T. Soy Wasabi Sauce
Method: Heat oil in sauté pan until shimmering. Add all vegetables and
sauté so that they are coated with oil. Cook until vegetables are
tender,
add soy-wasabi sauce and toss to coat. Continue to cook 30 seconds then
turn off heat.
